Donburn Primary School

We approached Donburn Primary School in Doncaster East with a proposal to update their old and worn playground games with new bright and colorful ones and “this is the result.”

Old and boring surfaces are not inspiring especially for children. So why not brighten up spaces with colourful and creative designs to make an area something special? That’s exactly what Donburn Primary School did.

We met the School Principal to discuss ways that she felt the grounds of the school could be improved. The school playground had very tired markings faded with time. The Assistant Principal said that we needed to remove and replace them with some bright, eye-catching designs but also something that would inspire imaginative play.

We worked with them collaboratively to bring their ideas to life and co-create the perfect playground plan for their school community.

The final playground marking designs included their school logo and motto at the entrance to welcome the pupils and their families, the much-loved alphabet and numerical caterpillars, a big compass to learn about the different corners of the world, a target with throw lines, standing long jump and a dance class design to promote movement and activity. We also refreshed the handball courts. A multi coloured 1-100 number grid bursting with colours for practicing counting and any math games was also chosen.

Our team at PAVEMARKING took the first step towards removing the flaky and peeling markings on concrete. It was decided that the areas with old markings on asphalt be covered with the new markings, blacking out anything around the edges. A wide range of vibrant and lively games were installed and the school playground was completely transformed to a fantastic and engaging play space.

Donburn Primary School now has lots of variety and choice for the children to participate in active outdoor play and learning. This is what we endeavoured to achieve. The markings can be used during both play time and for teaching sessions. The new markings not only fun during break times for the pupils but also offer an excellent opportunity for outdoor learning activities.

Testimonial from the school

It has been a pleasure working with the Pavemarking Team. They had great ideas for brightening up the playground for the students at Donburn Primary School. They kept within our budget! The students have been excited to see all the bright activities and race out at recess and lunch to try all the different games.

The product is very bright and high quality! Parents and visitors to the school comment on how welcoming the playground is with the addition of the new creative playground games.

The installation of the games was seamless. There was no interfering with students’ playtimes. Nothing was too much effort for the Pavemarking Team. Their focus was on making sure the result was the best for the Donburn students!

We are extremely delighted with our new playground games!

Camelot Rise Primary School

When we approached Camelot Rise Primary School with a proposal to update their old and worn playground games, the offer was enthusiastically accepted. The installation of the new markings was planned to be completed in the next school holiday.

The Camelot Rise Primary School has over 300 pupils from a mix of different nationalities. The school creates a nurturing environment where children are encouraged to be life-long learners.

The playground had several old games that required covering and we decided to locate the new games in areas more suited to the students’ play spaces. We brightened up the old games with distinctive frames to compliment the ‘wow’ factor of the new games.  The games were made using slip resistant preformed thermoplastic with a wide range of colours chosen for the project.

Our team at PAVEMARKING worked on-site during the school holiday to apply an exciting selection of playground games. These included a 3-way hopscotch, an alphabet snail and refreshing the bat tennis courts with bright solid colours. The centre piece of the installation was a large map of the world which expresses the diversity of the school’s pupils. It’s also a great learning tool. A colourful numerical snake and vibrant alphabet jump was a great way to help the younger students learn the numbers and alphabet. The students all agree that the giant dartboard and engaging snake and ladder are not only attractive but are also fun to play on.

These preformed thermoplastic markings have impressive longevity, exceptional skid resistance and eco-friendly components. The children will safely enjoy the playground for many years to come.

Templestowe Heights Primary School

We were approached by Assistant Principal at Templestowe Heights Primary School to renew their 4 squared courts and add some new solid 4 squared courts to their playground. It was important that the markings were anti-slip so could be utilized in all weather and that they would be long lasting.

Upon receiving their inquiry, a free site survey was arranged . Together we explored the school’s outdoor space to gain a deeper understanding of their requirements and spaces. Every step was meticulously executed to ensure precision and quality. The result was a vibrant and inviting playground .
The new 4-square courts provide students a dynamic and engaging environment for physical activity, enhancing their motor skills and social interactions.

Mount Waverly North Primary School

We had the pleasure of working with the wonderful staff at Mount Waverley North Primary School recently to add some life to their playground and transform their outdoor space into a colourful, fun area designed to help students enjoy their outdoor activities.

PAVEMARKING were initially contacted by Ms.Natalie Grieve Principal and a site visit was arranged to take a look at the area and have a chat about what she’d  like to achieve and what was important to her school. Following the site visit and initial conversation with her and Ms. Trish ,business Manager at the school , a proposal and plan was drawn up to consider.

Natalie had a good idea of what she wanted to achieve for the entrance of the school and Pavemarking utilized 2 similar alphabetical and numerical caterpillars as well as a bespoke school logo in thermoplastic playground markings . We also customized the size of Australia Map to fit it in their desired location. Some colorful 4 squared courts were added to their school playground as well.

We were delighted to work with Mount Waverley Primary School to enhance their outdoor provision and look forward to visiting again soon.

Glen Kathrine  Primary School

Glen Katherine Primary School in Eltham North was given a proper makeover with our decorative, colourful markings.

Upon hearing about a local school’s willingness to renovate their tired playground, Pavemarking approached Glen Katherine Primary School  to see if there was anything we could do to help. Glen Katherine Primary has over 560 pupils from a mix of different nationalities. They aim to provide a warm, happy, and stimulating environment in which the children enjoy learning and playing. The team at Pavemarking went on-site in March to apply an exciting selection of games, including a times table, phonics table, twister, fitness trail, the fraction circle and some other games.

In working with the principal, it was evident that his creative vision and dedication to enhancing the playground environment greatly contributed to the success of this project. His insightful suggestions were instrumental in implementing innovative ideas that positively impacted the school community. Of critical importance was the voice of students at the school, with the school captains involved in the final design of the new outdoor learning classroom. School captains surveyed students, liaised with the principal and provided feedback to achieve a successful outcome for all students.

The principal, Gerard Fay at Glen Katherine is very pleased that we were able to help them and everyone at the school are overjoyed with the result. Pavemarking even received a great Google review expressing their satisfaction and how excited all the students were upon seeing their new playground.
